Installing Monument

Installing Monument takes only a few simple steps. You need two things to get started:

1) Software

You can download Monument by following a download link received in your email.

2) Registration key

You can find the registration key in your email under the subject "Registration", on your Account, or on the emailed receipt attached to your purchase.

Once you have these items, you're ready to install.

Monument works on each of macOS, Windows, and Linux, and files can be shared seemlessly between any system.

macOS

  • Download the installer by following the links above under Software. By default, the installer will appear in Finder under the Downloads directory.
  • Double-click the installer icon titled "Monument.dmg"
  • The installer will install Monument to your Applications directory. If you have already installed Monument, replace the existing item.
  • Go to the Applications directory and double-click Monument to open it.
  • If you receive a message that "Monument can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software," then you need to follow these special instructions: Right-click on the Monument icon in the Applications folder and select Open. When you recieve the new message, an extra button labeled "Open" will appear. Click "Open." This extra step is related to software notarization that began with macOS Catalina, and we are working to solve this problem.
